The Lodge at Craigellachie is a bed and breakfast business that is operated by Tony Taylor, sole trader, who is the Controller under data protection laws for any personal data that is processed. Contact information is provided at the bottom of this notice.
Information that we Collect From You
When you make a booking at The Lodge at Craigellachie, whether it is through our website or on the telephone, your name, contact details and credit or debit card information will be collected. We may also collect information about you from messages you post to the website, any of The Lodge at Craigellachie’s social media feeds, and e-mails or letters you send to us.
How we use your information
All personal information collected is used solely for the purposes of:
- Managing accommodation reservations;
- Complying with relevant legislation, including those relating to finance and taxation;
- Marketing The Lodge at Craigellachie services, only where you have consented to receiving marketing information
Personal data is held on our externally hosted systems, including:
- Microsoft Office 365 applications
- FreeAgent account platforms
- Our website and online booking system is managed through WordPress and Booking Platform WP (see separate cookies notice on our website). We also use a third party payment company to manage any online payment transactions.
We retain information for six years from the end of the financial year.
Booking Online
When you place an accommodation booking online, we will collect and retain information about your booking.
Where the order is being placed on behalf of someone else, any personal data processed for the purposes of managing the booking is processed using legitimate interests as it is in the interests of both parties for the accommodation booking to be appropriately managed. Where you are making an accommodation booking for yourself, this information is processed as it is necessary for the performance of a contract.
Your Rights
You have statutory rights relating to your own personal data:
- Access – you have the right to know what data is held relating to you and why, and to receive a copy of it;
- Rectification – you have the right to have inaccurate information about you corrected;
- Objection – you have the right to object to the use of your information;
- Erasure, restriction – in specific circumstances, you have the right to have your personal data deleted or to put limits on what can be done with it.
