These booking terms and conditions govern all reservations at The Lodge, as well as the privacy notice. Your booking will be confirmed by email. Please check all details carefully. If anything is not correct, please inform us immediately. All prices quoted at the time of booking will be honoured.
Confirming your Booking
We require a deposit of £100 per room for all bookings. Our booking system allows you to make a reservation and pay your deposit at the time of booking. If, for any reason, we’re unable to accommodate your reservation we will immediately refund any deposit that you’ve paid.
The balance must be paid no less than 7 days before your scheduled arrival date. We will send you all the information you need to pay for your stay, including links to make a secure payment. You may also pay by bank transfer. Bookings will be held for a maximum of 7 days after they are first made, after which they will be treated as cancelled if we do not receive your deposit.
You will receive a booking confirmation email upon receipt of your deposit as well as confirmation of receipt of the balance of payment of your stay.
Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your reservation, our refund policy is:
- You will receive a refund of any money paid if the cancellation is at least 7 days prior to the arrival date of your booking.
- If your booking is cancelled 7 days or less before your arrival date, we will retain your deposit although you will receive a refund of any balance paid.
Your booking will be treated as cancelled by you if you do not arrive on the planned arrival date for any reason.
Arrival
Guests may arrive after 3pm on the start date of your booking and must vacate rooms by 10.30am on your day of departure. Earlier arrival may be available by arrangement. If you will be arriving after 8pm on your arrival day, please let us know.
Children
Please note that we are usually unable to accommodate children under 12 years old, which includes very young children and babies who sleep in their own cots.
Facilities
We have two bedrooms in the Lodge – one superior room and one double room – which is in the grounds behind the main house. Both rooms are ensuite with a shower. For further information about the facilities in each room and the price tariffs, please follow the links on the room pages.
Dietary Requirements
We will always try and accommodate special dietary requirements. Please let us know before you arrive so that we can do our best to make sure we have suitable alternatives available.
Pets
Pets are not permitted in the Lodge. Please note that we have one well behaved dog which may be in the grounds of the property.
Other Information
As required by law, The Lodge at Craigellachie has a strict no smoking policy. We reserve the right to charge for any damage that is caused by you or any member of your party.
Candles or any naked flames are not permitted to be used within the Lodge.
We do not expect to have to make any changes to your booking, but occasionally problems occur and bookings have to be changed or cancelled. Where they have to be changed or cancelled, you will be informed as soon as reasonably possible by telephone. If a significant change made by us is not acceptable to you, we will refund any money paid.
Directions
The turning for Ratagan is on the A87 between Shiel Bridge and the Kintail Lodge Hotel. Take the road for Ratagan and Glenelg (which will be on the left if coming fro Inverness or Fort William, or on the right if coming from Kyle of Lochals) and follow the road for approximately one mile, going over a cattle grid. Turn right at the next junction and follow the road into Ratagan village. The drive to Craigellachie is approximately 3/4 of a mile from the junction and directly opposite the Youth Hostel car park which is on the right. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are available for the The Lodge at Craigellachie. If you have a voucher, please let us know at the time of booking and we will arrange for you to redeem your voucher for your stay with us. All bookings using vouchers must be made in advance of your stay and can only be redeemed subject to availability. Unless otherwise stated on your voucher, our gift vouchers are valid for 1 year. Vouchers may not be exchanged for cash.
The Lodge reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions associated with bookings at any time.
